On October 25, Tri Delta collegiates and alumnae met at the UCF Beta Lambda house, then walked together to support the Susan G. Komen 5K "Race for the Cure" at Bright House Stadium.
Eden: The Spa for Image Discovery, the only spa of its kind in the country dedicated to cancer patients, celebrated its first anniversary at Florida Hospital. One of the treatment rooms will be named after our chapter, based on our $50K in donations from Give From the Heart, and the additional $50K we have pledged.
The 2nd annual "Pins & Pansies" Kick-Off Meeting was held at Mary Olson's home, with a banner turnout. In addition to a video shooting for Oviedo Chicks, the events for 2009-2010 were reviewed, an interactive game "What You Don't Know About Me" was played, and a great time was had by all!
Tri Deltas and their spouses and kids had an elegant "diner en blanc" (dinner in white) at Baldwin Park—replete with champagne, wine, French bread, cheese, pate and Vicky Crozier's fabulous nicoise salad. The evening included great jazz and conversation and ended with sparklers supplied by Deena Adelson!
Orlando/Winter Park alumnae and UCF and Stetson collegiates enjoyed brunch, sisterhood, rituals and ceremonies at the beautiful UCF (Beta Lambda) chapter house on November 15, 2008.
The first gathering of the "Delta Diners" was a potluck dinner hosted by Deena Adelson. Everyone brought a delicious dish (including some husbands!) and a great time was had by all!
A 19-member team of Tri Deltas and Kappa Deltas, including 3 stalwart husbands, participated in the Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure" 5K Run/Walk on October 5 at Disney's Wide World of Sports. Collectively, we raised $1,700!
Tri Deltas wore their school colors and converged on the hot new downtown venue to socialize, find sisters from their alma mater, and enjoy appetizers, sushi and wine.
Tri Deltas came together for great food, wine, conversation and reunions at Mary Olson's — followed by a get-acquainted meeting, a talk by H.O.P.E.'s Allison Kreiger, and a review of the exciting chapter events to come.
